I am not sure if there are enough words to describe what we all experienced on Thursday night. An entire auditorium full of JEWS ๐ who are there for the sole reason of listening to a Jewish, Frum Singer, who would have thought it would be possible in Cape Town?!
Although every year on camp we sing Shwekey’s songs with candles and tears rolling down our faces, the atmosphere on Thursday night was different, it was one of amazement. We all sat listening to the man himself, Yaakov Shwekey, sing the song we all love and look forward to so much on Ruach Sessions at camp. There were no candles, but there were definitely tears!
If you were not excited about camp and Ruach sessions before, I’m sure everyone is PUMPED for camp now!

As your Camp Coordinator for 2012, I would like to introduce myself
My name is Natasha Scher and I am from Shevet Netzach! I am a Madricha for Shevet Eitan (Gr 9).
I am currently studying a BA-ED degree and am in Second year.
I have been involved in Bnei Akiva since 2006. I had the privilege of experiencing a year in Israel with Bnei on the Limmud Program in 2010 ๐
I have been given the task of being Cape Town Coordinator for Camp this year. This means that I am the person everyone in Cape Town speaks to when wanting to send their child on camp, wanting to find out about the latest happening on camp, how to get involved, how to sponsor a child, etc.
